The short version
We don't use advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics to see which pages help people, but only if you press "Accept" on the cookie bar. If you press "Reject", or don't choose, Google Analytics doesn't load and sets no cookies.
Everything else we store is needed for the site to work: your job list, and your cookie choice.
What we store in your browser
- nt-job-list
- Strictly necessary. Local storage. Remembers the jobs you add to your "Job list" on this device until you clear it or send your request. It is never sent to us until you submit the quote form.
- nt-consent
- Strictly necessary. Local storage. Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don't ask on every page.
- _ga, _ga_*
- Analytics, only if you accept. Cookies set by Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. They last up to 2 years. We don't use them for advertising.
- payload-token
- Strictly necessary. Cookie. Only set when NT Electric staff sign in to manage the website. Customers never receive it.
Google Analytics, maps and links to other services
If you accept analytics, your browser loads Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics from Google. Google processes the visit data (such as pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser) on our behalf. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Our maps use OpenStreetMap. Your browser loads the map images straight from OpenStreetMap's servers when a map comes into view. That shares your IP address with them, but sets no cookies. The "Open in Google Maps" link only takes you to Google if you tap it.
If you tap a WhatsApp link, WhatsApp (Meta) handles that conversation under its own privacy and cookie rules. The same applies to Google Maps or review links.
How to change your choice
Use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to accept or reject analytics again. If you reject after accepting, we remove the Google Analytics cookies. You can also clear stored data in your browser settings, usually under Privacy or Site data. Clearing it empties your job list on this device.
If this changes
If we ever add another kind of cookie, we will update this page and ask again where the law requires it. See our privacy policy for how we use the details you send us.
